Haiti Mission

Together with Haiti Ministry

Established over 35 years ago, The Together with Haiti ministry is committed to supporting our parish covenant with our twinned parish, St. Claire’s in Dessalines, and the Missionaries of La Salette in Haiti.  This solidarity-based partnership is built upon mutual respect and equality, fostered through prayer and communication.

Our ministry funds critical needs as identified by our partners.

Feeding the Hungry
Each day our canteen program of a nutritious hot meal at lunchtime provides one sure meal for nearly 3,3000 students from preschool to high school

Teaching the next generation
We support our sister parishes through staff support, classroom additions, and building updates such as solar power and security measures.  A new trade school, in Dessalines, prepares over 300 high school graduates for skilled work such as plumbing, nursing, and electrical. Scholarships are provided for all ages.

Giving Drink to the Thirsty
Your support provides access to clean, safe water. Through the purchase of water tanks, wells, and pump systems life is made easier and healthier.

Comforting the Sick
Attached to St. Claire School is the St. Claire of Assisi Medical Clinic, dispensary, and lab run by Salesian Sisters. We provide much-needed medical equipment and technology.

Catholic Faith Outreach
We make improvements to existing church buildings, respond to requests for materials needed to celebrate mass, and provide scholarships for seminarians.
